Wolong Temple, also known as Guanyin Temple and Fuying Chan Yuan, is located on Baishulin Street, Beilin District, Xi'an, and is the earliest Buddhist temple in Shaanxi. It is one of the national key Buddhist temples in Han-inhabited areas.

Daxingshan Temple (simplified Chinese: 大兴善寺; traditional Chinese: 大興善寺; pinyin: Dàxīngshàn Sì) is a Buddhist temple located in Yanta District of Xi'an, Shaanxi. The temple had reached unprecedented heyday in the Tang dynasty (618–907), when Śubhakarasiṃha, Vajrabodhi and Amoghavajra taught Chinese Esoteric Buddhism in the temple, known as the "Three Prominent Buddhist Monks in the Kaiyuan Period" (开元三大士). Then Japanese Buddhist monks Ennin and Enchin introduced it to Japan, since then, Daxingshan Temple became the cradle of Chinese Esoteric Buddhism. Daxingshan Temple, Daci'en Temple and Jianfu Temple became the three sutras translation sites (三大译经场) in the Tang dynasty. Daxingshan Temple was completely damaged in the Great Anti-Buddhist Persecution, after the fall of the Tang dynasty in 907, most parts of the temple were ruined in wars and natural disasters, and gradually it became unknown to public. Most of the present structures in the temple were repaired or built during the Ming dynasty (1368–1644) and in modern China.<

Guangren Temple is located in Lianhu District, Xi'an, Shaanxi Province, People's Republic of China, near the north-western corner of the Xi'an city wall. It is a Tibetan Buddhist Gelug temple. The temple was built by order of the Kangxi Emperor between 1703 and 1705, and was an important place for the Qing central government to maintain contact with religious figures in the north-west, Tibet and Mongolia; it is also the only surviving Tibetan Buddhist temple in Shaanxi Province still in use as a place of religious activity.

Qinglong Temple, also known as Shifo Temple, is in Leyouyuan, Yanta District, Xi'an, Shaanxi Province, in the People's Republic of China. It is the site of a Buddhist temple that stood within the walls of Chang'an in the Sui and Tang dynasties. The temple was founded in the second year of the Kaihuang era of Emperor Wen of Sui (582), initially named Linggan Temple; in the second year of the Jingyun era of Emperor Ruizong of Tang (711) it was renamed Qinglong Temple.
