Ming Tombs Reservoir is a reservoir south-east of the Ming Tombs in Changping District, Beijing. Its functions are flood control and supporting pumped-storage power generation. It is a tourist attraction in the Beijing area and has the Beijing Jiulong Amusement Park. After the 2008 Olympic Games the reservoir area was no longer open to the public, and the amusement park is closed. Its name was inscribed by Mao Zedong.

Mangshan National Forest Park is located in Changping District, Beijing (No. 2 Mangshan Road), with a total area of 8,578.93 hectares, adjoining seven townships and 47 administrative villages of Changping District. About 35 kilometres from the city of Beijing, it is the largest national forest park in Beijing by area; it is named Mangshan because the hill ridges rise and fall like a great python.
