Liangxiang University Town is located in Gongchen Subdistrict, Fangshan District, Beijing, and is one of the two major higher education parks of Beijing (the other being the Shahe Higher Education Park). The park has a planned total area of 10,111 mu and a total floor area of 4.9694 million square metres, with estimated total investment of 30 billion yuan and an expected population of 100,000 to 120,000. In terms of functional layout it is divided into the schools' teaching and living areas, the western supporting area, the central facilities area and the central landscaped green area.
