New Year NE Mountain Race 2027（元旦東北縱走 2027（New Year NE Mountain Race））

Cloudy Hill is a mountain in the north of the New Territories of Hong Kong, north of Tai Po and south-east of Fanling, with an elevation of 440 metres.

The Ma Wat River (Chinese: 麻笏河) is a river in Fanling, northern New Territories, Hong Kong. Its source lies at Kau Lung Hang Shan. The river flows northwards towards Fanling, staying near the eastern industrial areas. It empties into the Ng Tung River near Kan Lung Tsuen.

The Shek Sheung River is a tributary of the River Indus in the North District of the New Territories of Hong Kong. The visible channel is at present divided into two sections. The upstream section rises from several streams in Lam Tsuen Country Park and Wo Hop Shek and flows past Ping Kong, Ching Ho Estate, Kai Leng Village and Ng Uk Village. The downstream section begins north of Tai Tau Leng Village; after joining the channels and nullahs of the Kam Tsin area and the Fanling Golf Course near Tsung Pak Long, it continues north, running parallel to the MTR East Rail Line, past the Shek Wu Hui Sewage Treatment Works, the Sheung Shui Slaughterhouse and Long Valley, and finally joins the River Indus and the Sheung Yue River in the triangle near Wu Te Au and the Sheung Shui Slaughterhouse. Because of the development of the Sheung Shui new town, the middle section of the Shek Sheung River, from north of Choi Po Court (today's junction of Shek Po Wu Road and Choi Yuen Road) to east of Ng Uk Village (today's Wai Hon Road Garden and Ching To Court), was rebuilt as a culvert in the early 1980s.

Hong Kong Kun Chung Temple is located at 12 Chi Fuk Circuit, Fanling, in the New Territories of Hong Kong. It is a practice site attached to the Heung Hoi Ching Kok Lin Association, and its dharma lineage descends from Master Zhiyi of the Tiantai school; it is one of the few remaining temples of the Tiantai dharma lineage in Chinese Buddhism. In February 2004 it received the approval of the Government of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region and became the first Buddhist temple in Hong Kong able to conduct legal marriage ceremonies for Buddhists. The present abbot is Master Hongming.
