Challenge Taiwan

Danfeng Mountain is located in the central part of Beitou District, Taipei, Taiwan, 117 metres above sea level. Danfeng Mountain was originally named Wugong Mountain and Wugongxue Mountain and was changed to its present name after the war, said to be named because the shape of the hill seen from the air resembles a phoenix. On Danfeng Mountain there is a large rock inscribed with the two large white characters 'Danfeng', beside which is a Taipei City triangulation point. The view from the summit is good, taking in the whole of the Beitou urban area. During the Japanese colonial period the hill was planted all over with pines, so it was called Songye Mountain. Because a shrine to Kobo Daishi was built on the hill, it was also called Daishi Mountain.

Dalunwei Shan, also known as Chishangtian Shan, is located on the border between Shilin District and Neihu District in Taipei, Taiwan. It is 451 metres above sea level with a broad, flat summit, and belongs to the Wuzhi Shan Range of the Jiali Shan Mountains. The view from the summit is poor. There is a third-class triangulation point, number 1073, beside the pavilion on the summit. The hill is a popular suburban hill, climbable via the Daluntouwei Mountain Hiking Trail, but its paths are complicated, with many forks and unclear signs.

Mount Daluntou lies on the border between Xishan Village in Shilin District and Bishan Village in Neihu District, Taipei, Taiwan. It belongs to the Wuzhishan range of the Datun volcano group, has an elevation of 472 metres, and is one of the Small Hundred Peaks of Taiwan. Its summit is broad and flat, with a land survey point and a triangulation stone, and it can be reached by climbing the Daluntou and Dalunwei Mountain hiking trail. On one side there are views of Mount Dalunwei, Xiaocaoshan and Mount Ewei, and in the distance the Tamsui River; on the other side there are views of Baishihu Mountain, Kaiyan Mountain and Longchuan Rock, as well as a look down over Dahu Park.

Dalun Lake is a semi-artificial barrier lake in Neihu District, Taipei. It lies on the Wuzhi Mountain range of the Jiali Mountain range, on the south-western side of Daluntou Mountain beside the Daluntou farm road. Local residents call it Pizai Lake, or Pizai, meaning "small pond"; it was dug and filled in early times to meet the demand for agricultural irrigation water, and today artificial footpaths have been laid out around it for recreation.
